Dua Buka Puasa
The time to break fast is not only about quenching thirst and hunger. Muslims are also advised to increase their supplications at breaking fast. Here are two duas for breaking fast based on the explanation of Ustaz Adi Hidayat in the video “Tentang Doa Berbuka Puasa (Part 2)” uploaded to the YouTube channel.
Version One
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَـأُ، وابْــتَلَّتِ العُرُوقُ، وثَــبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِن شَاءَ اللهُ
Dzahabaz zhama’u wabtallatil ’uruqu wa tsabatal ajru, insyaallah
Meaning: “Thirst has gone, the throat has moistened, and the reward is assured, if Allah wills” (HR Abu Daud)
Version Two
Allaahumma lakasumtu wabika aamantu wa’alaa rizqika afthortu birahmatika yaa arhamar-roohimiina.
Meaning: “O Allah, for You I have fasted, in You I believe, and with Your sustenance I break my fast, with Your mercy, O Most Gracious” (HR Bukhari and Muslim)
Based on Ustaz Adi Hidayat’s explanations, the way to practice the breaking fast supplications can be combined. So the Dzahabaz zhama’u dua is recited as the opener, followed by the Allahumma laka shumtu dua.
So when is the right time to recite the breaking-fast dua? Almanhaj’s site states that the Prophet usually recited Dzahabaz zhama’u after breaking the fast. This also aligns with the meaning of the dua, i.e. “The thirst has gone and the veins have become moistened…”.
Thus, this is information about the Iftar timetable for Lombok Island and its surroundings. May it be useful!
