PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk predicted that 1,093,067 vehicles would leave the Jabotabek region during the Idul Adha 1447 Hijriyah/2026 and Pancasila Day holiday period from Tuesday, 26 May 2026 to Monday, 1 June 2026. Jasa Marga’s President Director Rivan A. Purwantono estimated that the total traffic volume would rise by 8.90% compared to the normal traffic volume of 1,003,695 vehicles.

‘The figure represents the cumulative traffic from four main toll gates: Cikupa (towards Merak), Ciawi (towards Puncak), Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Jawa), and Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung),’ Rivan stated in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Rivan noted that the traffic forecast also accounted for work-from-home (WFH) policies still in place for some companies on Friday, 29 May 2026, which could provide flexibility in travel timing for the public.

‘Vehicle mobility during the extended holiday period is projected to be dominated by eastbound traffic towards Trans Jawa and Bandung at 47.4%, followed by westbound towards Merak at 27.1% and southbound towards Puncak at 25.5%,’ Rivan added.

In response to the increased vehicle volume leaving Jabotabek, Rivan stated that Jasa Marga has prepared optimal readiness across all operational toll road service lines. He said intensive monitoring is being conducted especially on toll sections popular with tourists, such as the Jakarta-Cikampek and Cipularang toll roads for Trans Jawa and Bandung directions, and the Jagorawi toll road for Puncak.

‘To address potential traffic surges across these routes, Jasa Marga is prioritising integrated operational technology to detect congestion early and quickly alleviate bottlenecks,’ Rivan added.

The company has deployed field support staff, added mobile readers at toll gates to expedite transactions, and stationed 24-hour Call Center 14080 personnel.

Additionally, Jasa Marga is prepared to fully support traffic management measures such as contraflow, as per police discretion, with operational staff and supporting signage deployed on-site.

‘We are also ensuring optimal toll road preservation activities to maintain road quality. Weather-related disruptions, including heavy rainfall, are being monitored to enable prompt and precise on-ground responses,’ Rivan added.

Regarding driver rest needs, Rivan said Jasa Marga has ensured Travoy Rest (Jasa Marga Group rest area) services are ready, including parking capacity management, clean free toilets, availability of clean water, and comfortable prayer spaces to help road users restore their stamina for quality driving.

He advised road users to actively monitor real-time CCTV and traffic management dynamics via the Travoy app.

‘Information on rest area locations, facilities, and parking availability is also accessible via Travoy, enabling road users to make independent driving decisions to ensure smooth travel for all,’ Rivan said.
