IDR 308 Trillion Allocated for 2026 KUR, No Limit on Application Frequency
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government has set a ceiling of IDR 308.41 trillion for the disbursement of the People’s Business Credit (KUR) this year. This allocation is an increase compared to the realization of KUR disbursement in 2025, which amounted to IDR 270.08 trillion. Ferry Irawan, Deputy for Coordination of Management and Development of SOE Businesses at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, said that this year’s KUR disbursement includes a new scheme to support the development of MSMEs. One of these is the elimination of restrictions on the frequency of accessing KUR. “In 2026, as long as they have a productive business and can operate for export, we will provide it. As long as their business still exists and they are developing, we will give them the opportunity to continue accessing KUR,” he said at the Mastercard Small Business Barometer Report event at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (February 25, 2026). Furthermore, the interest rate is set at a flat 6 percent per year, meaning there will be no increase in interest if KUR is taken more than once. This is different from last year, which had a tiered system, where the first application was subject to an interest rate of 6 percent and increased by 1 percent for each subsequent application. In addition, there is a KUR scheme based on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This scheme allows MSME actors to use intellectual property assets as the basis for assessing creditworthiness and/or as additional collateral. “Additional collateral is no longer limited to physical assets, such as cars, etc., we are also introducing KUR based on intellectual property,” explained Ferry. Furthermore, he explained that the IDR 308.41 trillion KUR allocation includes four types of disbursement. These consist of regular KUR amounting to IDR 279.53 trillion with a target of 1.37 million new debtors and 1.10 million graduating debtors; agricultural machinery credit of IDR 233.10 trillion with a target of 344 debtors; labor-intensive industry credit of IDR 549.51 billion with a target of 234 debtors; and housing program credit (KPP) of IDR 28.1 trillion with a target of 65,627 debtors. “So, we hope this can contribute to MSMEs, to economic growth, to the creation of jobs, and also to MSMEs being able to reach export markets,” he concluded.
