IDR 1 Billion Fund Requirement: Village Heads in West Lombok Must Update Residents' Data
West Lombok Regent (Lobar), Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ), has requested that all village heads (kades) routinely update residents’ data as a condition for seeking funds under the IDR 1 billion per village programme.
According to LAZ, updating residents’ data is crucial to avoid problems such as the thousands of BPJS Premium Assistance Recipients (PBI) participants who were previously deactivated.
“The village government must continuously update its residents’ data,” emphasised LAZ on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
Nevertheless, LAZ has already handed over the Budget Implementation Lists (DIPA) for the IDR 1 billion programme to 119 villages and 3 urban villages in West Lombok.
He explained that the budget allocation is carried out in stages starting from the second, third, and fourth quarters in accordance with the budget items in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). “It depends on the budget items in the APBD; some are in the second quarter, third, and so on,” clarified LAZ.
LAZ stated that the amount of funding received by each village varies according to the needs and programme proposals from each village government. Some villages are even said to receive budget allocations of IDR 3 to 4 billion because they are deemed to be in great need.
“There are also several villages that receive less than one billion. That is in accordance with the programme proposals from each village government,” he added.
On the other hand, LAZ mentioned that this year’s IDR 1 billion per village programme is dominated by infrastructure projects amounting to 60% of all proposals. He considers this reasonable given the substantial needs for physical development in every village, which requires significant funding.
“That’s the proposal from them. Whatever the proposals from the bottom will be accommodated,” said LAZ.
Although dominated by physical development, LAZ assured that non-physical programmes are still included to balance it. These programmes include strengthening Human Resources (SDM), improving the village economy, the tourism sector, and social programmes. “Varied, depending on the proposals from the villages essentially,” he stressed.
