IDB conference due here

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia will host the Islamic Development
Bank's 20th annual conference, with ministers of finance and
officials from 48 countries expected to attend.

The ministers, who will attend as members of the bank's board
of governors, will discuss follow-up measures to the programs
discussed at the earlier meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last
November.

"Minister of Finance Mar'ie Muhammad, who was elected chairman
at the last conference in Jeddah, will for the second time chair
the conference," a finance ministry statement said yesterday.

The statement added that President Soeharto is slated to open
the two-day conference on Nov 29.(kod)
