InJourney Aviation Services (IAS), the airport sub-holding company in Indonesia, has deployed 15,400 combined service personnel to provide services at 25 airports during the 2026 Lebaran/Idul Fitri 1447 Hijri travel period.

“The total personnel deployed is approximately 15,400 personnel for all IAS services during the 2026 Lebaran period,” stated IAS Chief Executive Officer Budi Setyawan Wijaya during a press conference in Tangerang, Banten, on Thursday.

He explained that the thousands of service personnel deployed consist of ground handling and airport cleanliness staff. The company has also prepared supporting equipment, including technology and operational systems, to improve service delivery during this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebration.

“The main strategy includes streamlining business processes and operational efficiency, utilising digital platforms and the Karlis application for cargo management and service monitoring dashboards to track service quality in real-time,” he stated.

As a commitment to facilitating smooth Lebaran travel, IAS has established integrated command posts at 35 airports, which will be activated from 13 to 30 March 2026.

“IAS has established Integrated Command Posts operating from 13 to 30 March. The supervisory structure includes control towers in four regions to monitor approximately 35 airport stations,” he said.

Furthermore, InJourney IAS has demonstrated its commitment to improving service by deploying new Ground Support Equipment (GSE) with the latest technology. The company is utilising digital platforms through the Karlis application for cargo and service monitoring dashboards to track service quality in real-time.

“We are also increasing Passenger Service Agent (PSA) personnel, particularly at major airports such as Soekarno-Hatta, to direct passengers, provide information, and ease congestion at certain facilities such as toilets and parking areas,” he added.
