Hundreds of Jago Coffee Carts Converge in Jakarta, Distributing Thousands of Takjil and Free Coffee
In the bustle of city life ahead of the breaking of the fast, moments of sharing often arrive in simple forms. This spirit is being brought by Jago Coffee in collaboration with Tokopedia through a Ramadan programme titled Konvoi Takjil Keliling, an initiative of sharing that brings hundreds of Jago Coffee carts directly into communities at various corners of Jakarta.
Co-Founder & CEO of Jago Coffee, Yoshua Tanu, explained that the programme, in collaboration with Tokopedia, brings Ramadan closer to the public.
“During the activation period, more than 14,000 cups of Jago coffee, 22,000 takjil, and 8,000 Tokopedia gift cards have been and will be distributed to Jakarta residents as part of the charitable activities during the holy month,” he said on Friday (6 March 2026).
The Konvoi Takjil Keliling programme ran from 2–9 March 2026 at 10 points across Jakarta, including Kendal, Blok M, Tebet, Kota Tua, Karet Kuningan, Manggarai, Menteng Dalam, and the Bendungan Hilir area and surroundings.
In addition to distributing coffee and takjil at various city points, the Konvoi Takjil Keliling was also held on 3 March 2026, traversing the main corridor of South Jakarta.
Hundreds of Jago Coffee carts moved together from and back to Taman Mataram, presenting a convoy that symbolised the spirit of sharing moving from one community to another.
Yoshua added that for those wishing to participate, they can do so digitally via the Tokopedia and Jago apps. “To obtain free takjil, the public simply completes the mini-game Kejar Ketupat in the Tokopedia app and downloads the Jago app as part of the redemption process,” he said.
He also noted that during Ramadan, the initiative #SegelasKebaikan was introduced, a call to bring about simple yet meaningful acts of kindness for others.
Through this programme, Jago Coffee launched a Ramadan package priced at Rp80,000, consisting of one special drink, one official Jago Coffee merchandise bag, and a donation of Rp17,000 channelled through Kitabisa.com to help disaster victims in Sumatra.
“Through this series of programmes, we hope to create simple but meaningful moments of sharing within communities. The presence of our carts across various corners of the city is a manifestation of how coffee can reach more people in a close and accessible way,” said Yoshua.
This initiative aligns with the Anytime Anywhere spirit, namely making coffee available to enjoy anytime and anywhere, while also serving as a way for Jago Coffee to continue giving back to the community.
Since its establishment in 2019, Jago Coffee has offered a new way to enjoy quality coffee through the cafe-on-wheels concept, based on electric-powered carts operating in various urban environments.
