How to File Your Annual SPT via DJP Coretax: A Step-by-Step Guide
The DJP provides an online annual tax return (SPT) reporting service through the Coretax system. Through this system, taxpayers (WP) can submit their tax reports without having to visit a tax office. Online SPT reporting forms part of the government’s tax administration transformation to facilitate services for taxpayers. The Coretax system is expected to make the reporting process faster, more integrated, and accurate. Moreover, the entire process is conducted digitally so documents and reporting evidence can be received directly by taxpayers via the system. Therefore, taxpayers must ensure the data entered is correct so the reporting process runs smoothly. According to the DJP, a Taxpayer is an individual or entity, including taxpayers, tax withholders, and tax collectors, who have the rights and obligations of taxation in accordance with tax laws. Taxpayers include individual taxpayers; undivided inheritance taxpayers; corporate taxpayers; and Government agencies designated as withholders and/or collectors of tax in accordance with tax laws. For taxpayers who are still confused about how to register a new taxpayer for individuals, here are the steps. New taxpayer registration can be carried out via Coretax DJP with the following steps: - Visit the link coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id. - Click Register here. - Choose Individual. - Choose Yes, Taxpayer Has NIK. - Choose Registration with NIK Activation/NIK Activation. - Complete all required fields. - In the contact details section, ensure you enter an active email address and mobile number that can be accessed to receive a one-time password (OTP) for validation. - In the identity verification section, take a selfie and click the Validate Photo button. - Finally, read and check the statement, then click the Submit Application button. - Check the email you registered to receive your NPWP number and a PDF printout of NPWP. - Done, you are now registered and have an NPWP. You can begin exercising tax rights and obligations through Coretax DJP. What to note: if there is an error with third-party data, this means the information provided cannot be validated against current population data, for example differences in address spelling or occupation (e.g., “N0” vs “NO”, or “Karyawan Swasta” vs “Mengurus Rumah Tangga”). After successful registration, the NPWP card is no longer sent physically by post but delivered digitally in PDF format via email.
