Jakarta — Beyond pricing and workshop networks, spare parts availability is a key consideration for consumers when purchasing vehicles. As such, parts centres play an important role in supporting comprehensive, efficient after-sales service and ensuring spare parts are available when needed.

The Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) parts centre, located in Cikarang, West Java, exemplifies this approach. Its function extends beyond storage to include distribution of spare parts, allowing consumers to enjoy service without lengthy waiting periods.

As an automotive manufacturer for the Daihatsu and Toyota group, the facility meets domestic market spare parts requirements through Daihatsu’s authorised workshop network throughout Indonesia, and also exports to several countries including Japan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and other destinations.

“Through after-sales service supported by strong spare parts logistics and distribution systems, we seek to build a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Furthermore, the facility is supported by the involvement of local spare parts suppliers and SMEs as a tangible contribution to supporting Indonesia’s automotive industry development,” the company stated in an official release on Monday 9 March 2026.

Operating since 2007, the facility occupies land of more than 4 hectares and currently stocks over 30,000 mixed spare parts items in both CKD (Completely Knocked Down) and CBU (Completely Built Up) categories, including slow-moving and fast-moving classifications. The Daihatsu parts centre helps ensure storage, retrieval and dispatch of spare parts operate more quickly, accurately and efficiently.

To maintain spare parts quality through to consumers, Daihatsu applies various quality control stages or quality gate processes. Additionally, Daihatsu provides diverse spare parts options, including through its Daihatsu Value Part line, which offers genuine alternative spare parts at more affordable prices.

“The presence of this product represents Daihatsu’s effort to protect customers from counterfeit spare parts whilst supporting customers in achieving more affordable vehicle ownership costs throughout the vehicle’s lifespan,” the company said.

To simplify consumer access, Daihatsu has committed to strengthening its after-sales service network reaching more than 500 cities and regencies across Indonesia. This is demonstrated by support from more than 260 outlets, over 170 authorised workshops, more than 300 Daihatsu Mobile Service (DMS) units, and over 3,000 parts shops in various regions throughout Indonesia.
