The government has announced that under the KUR Perumahan (People’s Business Credit) programme for housing, loans below Rp 100 million do not require collateral from the public. This is a direct instruction from President Prabowo Subianto aimed at improving public welfare. “President Prabowo Subianto has instructed this unprecedented KUR Perumahan programme. For loans under Rp 100 million, the public does not need to provide collateral, with an interest rate of only 0.5 percent per month or 6 percent per year,” explained the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, as quoted from Kompas.com on Monday (13/4/2026). Thus, the public has safe, light, and easy credit payment options with the introduction of the KUR Perumahan programme. “We do not need to use moneylenders. The solution is to create a programme that is cheaper, easier, and faster so that the people are happy because they are free from debt bondage,” she added. The KUR Perumahan loans are channelled through Himbara banks. It should be noted that the figures in the BRI KUR table for April 2026 are estimates and may differ based on the bank’s credit analysis results.
