Hotels, airlines get award

JAKARTA (JP): Six hotels, three airlines, two restaurants, two
transportation companies have received awards from the Jakarta
administration for their achievements in promoting tourism.

Similar awards were also given to two recreational resorts,
and one travel agency in a ceremony at the Gedung Kesenian
Jakarta on Thursday.

The six hotels are Hotel Horison, Sahid Jaya, Le Meredien,
Kartika Chandra, Graha Wisata Remaja and Hostel Djody, while the
airlines are KLM Royal Dutch, Singapore Airlines, Mandala
Airlines.

The meritorious restaurants are Sari Kuring, Arirang, while
the recreational resorts are Pulau Ayer and Ancol Dream Land.

Big Bird and Kosti Jaya are the two transportation companies
to get the prestigious awards, while the only travel agency is
Wita Tour & Travel.

Some of them received Adikaryottama Wisata awards, and some of
them got Adikarya Wisata awards.

Adikarya Wisata is the most prestigious award from the Jakarta
administration for firms and businesses for their roles in
promoting tourism.

Deputy Governor on Economy and Development Tb. Rais
represented the governor in the ceremony. (sur)
