Honor Win Turbo launches with 10,000mAh battery and 50MP camera
Honor has officially launched the latest smartphone, the Honor Win Turbo, in its home country China to complement the Win Series lineup, following the introduction of the Honor Win and Win RT. Like other models in the Win Series, the large battery capacity is the key feature of the Honor Win Turbo. The device features a 10,000mAh battery, claimed to support over 14 hours of gaming or more than 22 hours of short video playback on a single charge. Despite the large battery, the Honor Win Turbo maintains a relatively slim design with a thickness of 7.98mm and a weight of 216g. The device sports a flat 6.79-inch LTPS OLED display with a resolution of 2,640 x 1,200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach a peak brightness of 8,000 nits, supported by 3,840Hz PWM dimming and Oasis eye-protection features. For performance, the Honor Win Turbo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It is available in a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration. On the photography front, Honor has included a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a 5MP secondary rear camera, and a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera module retains a horizontal layout like previous generations, albeit with an updated camera arrangement. Unlike the two earlier Win Series models, the Honor Win Turbo no longer features an internal cooling fan. Additional features include IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance certifications, dual stereo speakers, a Z-axis vibration motor, a C1+ signal-boosting chip, and second-generation Hongyan communication technology. The Honor Win Turbo is available in three colours: blue, black, and white. In China, the phone starts at 3,299 yuan (approximately £360) for the 12GB/256GB variant, with the 12GB/512GB model priced at 3,599 yuan (£395) and the top-tier 16GB/512GB version at 4,199 yuan (£462).
