South Tangerang, Kompas.com - The owner of a house on Jalan Murjaya, Jurang Mangu Barat Ward, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang (Tangsel), Karnadi, is reported to have issued a summons to the buyer before the action of walling off the house.

Karnadi’s legal representative, Ridho, stated that the summons was sent as an initial effort to resolve the ongoing sales dispute since 2019.

“We sent the first summons on 1 April 2026, followed by the second on 7 April 2026,” Ridho told Kompas.com when met in Ciputat, Tangsel, on Thursday (23/4/2026).

If not complied with, the occupants are requested to vacate the house, which is currently still occupied.

“From June 2019 to April 2020, Ms Desi Riana, the party legally directly involved with Karnadi, only made payments amounting to Rp570 million,” he said.

Furthermore, Ridho explained that the summons was also intended to open channels for communication so that both parties could sit together and match their data.

“This is a step to communicate in order to find a solution,” he clarified.

According to Ridho, the planned meeting that had been agreed upon also did not materialise because the buyer’s legal representative did not show up.

“We waited, but they didn’t come,” he said.

“So she (Desi Riana) is a convict in a fraud case, with the victim suffering losses of Rp500 million,” he added.

With no response to the summons, it became one of the bases for his client, Karnadi, to take further steps, namely the eviction of the house.

Ridho explained that the conflict stemmed from a house sale agreement between Karnadi and Desi Riana in 2019.

That agreement, he said, was made orally with a transaction value of Rp1.3 billion and a payment deadline of three months, from June to August 2019.
