Majalengka — Homebound travellers passing through Majalengka Regency are being advised to exercise greater caution. This follows ongoing conditions of potentially extreme weather expected to persist through April.

Majalengka Regent Eman Suherman stated that several routes require heightened vigilance due to vulnerability to landslides, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall. These include the Kuningan–Cikijing provincial route, specifically in the Sindangpanji area, and the Maja–Talaga route in the Cikebo district.

Suherman urged motorists to increase their caution when traversing these routes, especially during intense rainfall.

“We advise homebound travellers passing through Majalengka to always be careful and vigilant, as weather conditions remain potentially extreme until April. Several landslide-prone areas also require attention,” Suherman said on Monday, 16 March 2026.

To anticipate possible disasters on homebound routes, Majalengka Regency Government has placed various personnel on standby. These include staff from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Public Works and Urban Planning Department, Civil Police, Fire Service, and emergency volunteer units (Tagana).

Additionally, heavy equipment has been positioned at several strategic locations. This aims to expedite response operations should landslides occur or road access be disrupted.

With these preparatory measures in place, Majalengka Regency Government hopes that the flow of homebound travellers through its territory remains safe and smooth. The public is also urged to continuously monitor weather conditions and follow guidance from field personnel.
