I share the views of JS Trika in her letter Holdups on Jl.
Sutomo (March 24). Sadly, I have had a similar experience.

On Sunday, March 23, at about 7:45 p.m. I was in microlet M-29
together with other passengers on Jl. Sutoyo, East Jakarta, when
someone forcefully searched my handbag for valuables.

This sort of brutality often happens on the streets. I
therefore call on the security personnel to conduct regular
surveillance of the area and urge people to be careful when
passing that particular street.
