Holding Cultural Parade in Tegal, Kaesang Says PSI Empowers MSMEs and Artists
Tegal, VIVA – Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep affirmed that the cultural parade held in Tegal on Sunday, February 15, 2026, is part of the party’s outreach efforts using a grounded approach close to local traditions. The cultural parade was organized as a way for PSI to introduce itself to the public without abandoning local cultural roots.
Kaesang said politics should not be separated from the cultural values that have thrived and developed among the people.
“We want to be present in a way that is enjoyable, open, and still upholds local wisdom. Politics must be able to go hand in hand with culture, not leave it behind,” Kaesang said.
According to him, the cultural parade concept was chosen so that the party’s outreach process respects, preserves, and celebrates local cultural values. With this approach, PSI hopes to gain wider acceptance among the public.
Beyond being a political introduction, the event is also claimed to deliver a direct economic impact. The cultural parade involved MSME operators and local artists, opening up opportunities for promotion, appreciation of their work, and economic circulation that can be felt by surrounding residents.
PSI believes that regional progress will be stronger when politics, culture, social solidarity, and the empowerment of MSMEs and artists can move together.
Previously, PSI officials also went directly to the evacuation site for a land movement disaster in Tegal Regency to distribute basic necessities to affected residents.
“In addition to the cultural parade held by PSI today, the PSI Central Board also went directly to deliver disaster aid for the land movement yesterday,” Kaesang said.
