In celebration of the 544th anniversary of Bogor Regency (Hari Jadi Bogor or HJB), the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab Bogor) is organising free public services at several locations. Today, at the UPT Leuwiliang Terminal on Tuesday (12/5/2026), the activities include free KIR testing, free vehicle emission testing, and free health checks for drivers and the public.

Lutfi Sahara, Secretary of the Bogor Regency Transportation Department, explained that the event aims to bring services closer to the community, especially public transport drivers and transportation actors in the West Bogor area.

“Today, we are carrying out a series of activities for the 544th anniversary of Bogor Regency. The activities consist of public services in the form of free KIR testing, free emission testing, and free health checks for the public,” said Lutfi, quoted from an official statement on Tuesday (12/5/2026).

Lutfi also explained that for vehicle services, the Bogor Regency Transportation Department is increasing the service target from the usual 35 vehicles to 50 vehicles for this event.

The public can come directly and register at the event location from the morning.

“All services are provided free of charge. Alhamdulillah, in addition to the main services, we are also providing basic food aid to the drivers as a form of attention and appreciation,” he added.

Meanwhile, Jopi Hermawan, Head of the Pollution Prevention Team at the Bogor Regency Environmental Agency, stated that the free emission testing is conducted from 09:00 to 13:00 WIB, targeting two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles using petrol and diesel fuel.

The test results will be directly recorded in the national Si Umi application, allowing the official emission compliance status of the vehicles to be known.

“From the results, it will be determined whether the vehicle meets the emission quality standards or exceeds the threshold. If it exceeds, the vehicle needs repairs such as servicing or oil replacement,” Jopi explained.

At the same location, James GH Tambun, Head of the Leuwiliang Health Centre, explained that the Health Department has deployed a team from Leuwiliang General Hospital and the Leuwiliang Health Centre to conduct health checks on public transport drivers and crew.

“Today’s health check target is 50 drivers. From the preliminary examination results, the drivers’ health conditions are generally good and deemed fit to work,” said Dr. James.
