REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) is organising the 2026 National Congress (Munas) as a strategic moment in determining the organisation’s leadership direction. Carrying the theme ‘Synergy of Young Entrepreneurs Building National Strength’, the Hipmi 2026 National Congress also aims to strengthen the role of young entrepreneurs in national economic development.

Hipmi General Chairman Akbar Buchari explained that the 2026 National Congress is not merely an organisational agenda, but part of efforts to strengthen the position of young entrepreneurs as strategic actors in the national economy. This is considering the global geopolitical situation as a challenge to the national economy.

“The Hipmi 2026 National Congress is not just a leadership regeneration process, but a strategic moment to strengthen the position of young entrepreneurs as the engine of the national economy. Amid the dynamics of global geopolitics and increasingly complex global economic pressures, Indonesian young entrepreneurs cannot go it alone,” said Akbar during a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Saturday (4/4/2026).

According to him, Hipmi views that young entrepreneurs must take a more active role. Akbar invited them not only as business actors, but also as strategic partners of the government in driving the national development agenda, including supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita.

“Through the Hipmi 2026 National Congress, we want to affirm that Indonesian young entrepreneurs are ready to be part of the solution and an important pillar in maintaining national economic resilience amid global uncertainties,” Akbar stated.
