Health service in Timor improves
DILI, East Timor: Health services here have reportedly improved, as the doctor to patient ratio now nears the ideal of 1:5,000.
Spokesman for the provincial health office Carlos Pereira said Saturday that services in all the 67 health community centers in East Timor are being strengthened by newly graduated medical students and apprenticing physicians, the Antara news agency reported.
The government requires newly graduated physicians to do apprenticeships before applying for permanent jobs. (pwn)
