Health service in Timor improves<\/p>\n
DILI, East Timor: Health services here have reportedly
\nimproved, as the doctor to patient ratio now nears the ideal of
\n1:5,000.<\/p>\n
Spokesman for the provincial health office Carlos Pereira said
\nSaturday that services in all the 67 health community centers in
\nEast Timor are being strengthened by newly graduated medical
\nstudents and apprenticing physicians, the Antara news agency
\nreported.<\/p>\n
The government requires newly graduated physicians to do
\napprenticeships before applying for permanent jobs. (pwn)<\/p>",
