Hang Nadim Airport confirms Batam–Jeddah flights are operating normally
We are continuing to monitor developments in the Middle East intensively and are in active coordination with the airlines and related entities, said by Hang Nadim International Airport operator PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB) in a press statement. The Batam, Riau Islands–Jeddah route, operated internationally, and the return route, are still operating normally and on schedule. The Chief Executive Officer of PT Bandara Internasional Batam, Annang Setia Budhi, emphasised this amid the dynamics of the Middle East situation that are attracting world attention. “We are continuing to monitor developments in the Middle East intensively and are in active coordination with the airlines and related entities,” he said in the official statement received in Batam on Friday. For information, the Umrah flight from Batam to Jeddah, operated by Lion Air using an A-330 aircraft, has a frequency of two flights per week, with arrivals on Wednesday and departures on Saturday. He also stated that the international route flights, as well as other international routes such as to Incheon and Kuala Lumpur, are also continuing to operate. “Flights on the international route Jeddah - Batam and other international routes operating via Hang Nadim International Airport remain operating normally,” said Annang. He added that to date, there have been no cancellations or significant changes to flight schedules due to the situation. “Our priority is to ensure the safety, security and comfort of all users of the service, particularly the pilgrims undertaking Umrah,” he said. PT BIB will continue providing periodic information updates if there are operational adjustments in the future to guarantee aviation safety.
