Jakarta, VIVA – The Deputy Commissioner for Licensing and Supervision of Capital Market Investment Management and Securities Institutions at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Eddy Manindo Harahap, stated that the development of Government Securities (SBN) showed positive progress throughout 2025. One indicator is the average daily transaction value (RNTH) reaching Rp60 trillion during that period.

“The development of debt securities, both SBN and corporate bonds, has so far shown a positive trend. The average daily transaction value for SBN is now quite substantial, around Rp60 trillion in 2025,” said Eddy, quoted from Antara on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

Eddy added that ownership of tradable SBN also grew by 8.67% year-on-year (yoy). This achievement reflects increasing trading activity as well as stronger confidence from market participants in debt instruments.

This surge signals that interest from investors, both domestic and foreign, in Indonesia’s government SBN continues to strengthen amid global financial market dynamics.

Furthermore, Eddy detailed that SBN repurchase agreement (repo) activities recorded a significant increase. Currently, the portion of SBN repo to total transactions reaches about 35%, with interbank repo contributing more than 70% of total repo activity.

“This includes the portion of SBN repo to total transactions, which is currently 35%, and interbank repo also contributes up to more than 70% of repo activity,” Eddy added.

Eddy emphasised that this data reflects the strengthening depth of the domestic financial market. Additionally, the price recovery process is improving, and the repo mechanism is increasingly developing on a market-driven basis.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) recorded that the Alternative Market Organiser System (SPPA) booked a total transaction value of Rp1,382.1 trillion throughout 2025. This figure surged by 461.6% compared to the previous year.

Of this total, repo transactions reached Rp751.6 trillion, while outright or debt securities buying and selling transactions amounted to Rp630.5 trillion. This activity indicates increasing liquidity in the domestic debt market.

For information, SPPA is now used by 39 service users, with 14 of them active in repo transactions. These users consist of commercial banks, regional development banks, to securities companies. (ANT)
