Green SM Electric Taxi Secures Rp600 Billion Investment Loan from BCA - Green Economy
Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — The Vietnamese electric taxi company, Green SM, has obtained an investment loan facility worth Rp600 billion from PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) or BCA to strengthen its sustainable business expansion in Indonesia.
Managing Director of Green SM Indonesia, Deny Tjia, stated that the agreement reflects the level of trust built through ongoing collaboration and shared vision between the two parties.
“This facility further strengthens the company’s financial foundation to support stable and consistent services in the various cities where we operate,” Deny said in his statement on Friday (3/4/2026).
The Rp600 billion investment loan facility has a tenor of five years. This agreement also marks the formation of a long-term financing partnership between the two companies.
The signing is a continuation of the cooperation that began since the launch of Green SM in Jakarta in December 2024. Since then, BCA and Green SM Indonesia have established various customer-based collaborations to expand service access while increasing awareness of environmentally friendly transportation.
Since operating, Green SM Indonesia, with its fleet of VinFast electric vehicles, has reached several cities, including Jakarta, Makassar, Bekasi, Surabaya, and Bali.
These regions face increasingly complex urban mobility needs, in line with rising public expectations for more sustainable transportation solutions.
In the domestic market, Green SM offers a fully electric vehicle-based taxi service aimed at supporting daily mobility in urban areas while reducing emissions and noise levels.
On the other hand, SVP Corporate Banking BCA, Denny Haryanto, stated that the cooperation reflects the company’s approach in supporting businesses with a long-term vision.
“Sustainable transportation is increasingly important for urban development in Indonesia. Through this collaboration, we support initiatives that align with long-term economic resilience and environmental responsibility,” Denny explained.
