Grab and GoTo Agree to Double Raya Bonus; Here’s What Active Partners Will Receive
Ahead of Idul Fitri 1447 Hijri, the two largest ride-hailing companies, Grab and GoTo, have doubled their Raya Bonus (BHR) budgets for driver partners. The increase is expected to provide extra breathing room for drivers’ families as Eid emirates rise. Nationally, the government says this year’s BHR will reach around 850,000 partners with a total value of about Rp 220 billion. Grab has increased the budget allocation to Rp 100–110 billion, double last year’s amount. More than 400,000 partners are said to receive the BHR this year. The top amount for two-wheel partners reaches Rp 850,000, while for four-wheel partners it goes up to Rp 1.6 million. In the lowest category, the bonus rises significantly to Rp 150,000 for two-wheelers and Rp 200,000 for four-wheelers. Grab Indonesia CEO Neneng Goenadi said the BHR is designed on the basis of productivity and partner activity over the last 12 months. “BHR 2026 is a form of appreciation to high-productivity partners. We want this support to be truly felt in the month of holy blessings,” she said, on Tuesday (3/3/2026). In addition to cash bonuses, Grab also prepared 105 Umrah packages for high-performing partners as an additional appreciation programme. Meanwhile, GoTo allocated Rp 110 billion for BHR 2026, up from Rp 50 billion last year. Bonuses are awarded to two-wheeled and four-wheeled driver partners under a category-based scheme, namely Mitra Juara (Champion Partner), Mitra Andalan (Reliable Partner), and Mitra Harapan (Hope Partner), measured by online hours and order completion quality. Two-wheel drivers receive around Rp 150,000 to Rp 900,000. For four-wheelers, the bonus ranges from Rp 200,000 to Rp 1.6 million. Meanwhile, GoTo’s President Director Hans Patuwo described the BHR as a form of appreciation by the company for partners’ contributions. “This bonus is not merely financial support, but a manifestation of a spirit of togetherness. We will still consider the company’s ability,” he said. Both Grab and GoTo emphasise that the BHR is different from THR (Tunjangan Hari Raya) for formal workers. The scheme is tailored to the flexible nature of the partnership and partner participation on the platform. For drivers active throughout the year, the additional hundreds of thousands to millions of rupiah are a lifeline for Eid needs. In the face of rising living costs, this cash injection is expected to sustain the purchasing power of partners’ families while supporting the economy during the peak annual consumption period.
