Governor to open sports center
JAKARTA (JP): Governor Surjadi Soedirdja will officially open the newly-renovated Soemantri Brodjonegoro student sports center in South Jakarta today.
The sports center, first established in 1974, has been renovated by PT Bakrie Investindo at a total cost of Rp 75 billion (US$33 million). In return, the company will be allowed to manage the center for 25 years.
The sports center consists of a soccer stadium, badminton, tennis and hockey fields and an Olympic-size swimming pool.
The fees for students using the facilities are set by the city administration. (yns)
