Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Creative Economy/Bekraf is supporting the enhancement of 20 selected local brands through the intensive training programme Akselerasi Ekspor Ekonomi Kreatif (ASIK) Kriya Batch 3. “We see great potential in the Batch 3 participants to become representatives of Indonesian crafts in the global market,” said Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design of the Ministry of Creative Economy Yuke Sri Rahayu, as quoted in a ministry press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday. Participants in ASIK Kriya Batch 3 come from regions such as Jakarta, Bogor, South Tangerang, Kebumen, Bandung, Cilegon, Sukabumi, Sukoharjo, Sidoarjo, Yogyakarta, Jember, Bali, West Lombok, and Binjai. All participants have gone through a curation process by practitioners who assessed based on product quality, innovation value, design originality, and business sustainability potential for the local brands. Participants in ASIK Kriya Batch 3 will receive intensive training for five days from 4 to 8 May 2026 in South Tangerang, Banten. After the training, they will receive support to develop products so they can participate in various exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Through ASIK Kriya, Yuke said, business actors are expected to be able to improve product quality, income, and employment absorption as well as encourage the strengthening of the creative economy ecosystem in their respective regions. The Ministry of Creative Economy has reached 40 local brands in the first and second ASIK Kriya activities.
