PT Jalin Pembayaran Nusantara (Jalin), part of Danantara through the Danareksa SOE Holding, supports the expansion of cardless cash withdrawal services for GoPay users through strategic partnerships with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) and PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk (bank bjb). This initiative arrives ahead of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr celebrations, amid projections of national population movement reaching 143.9 million people. Through this collaboration, GoPay users can now withdraw balances without a card at all BRI and bank bjb ATM networks spread across various regions in Indonesia.

Amid the rapid growth of digital transactions, cash still plays an important role in community economic activities, especially for transactions in traditional markets, local transportation, and sharing traditions in hometowns that are often located outside city centres.

Bank Indonesia projects that national cash needs for this year’s Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period will increase by around 15% compared to the previous year, with total provision of fit-for-circulation cash reaching more than Rp185 trillion.

Head of GoPay Wallet Kelvin Timotius explained that this partnership further expands the GoPay balance cash withdrawal network. Now, GoPay is not only a digital payment tool but also provides convenience for users. “Namely, by cashing out balances practically at the nearest BRI and bank bjb ATMs throughout Indonesia,” he said in an official statement.

Kelvin added that the public can download the GoPay app for access to more comprehensive and secure financial services. Available in a lightweight size, the GoPay app offers various benefits, from free instant transfers anywhere up to 100 times per month to payments for various routine bills such as data packages and electricity tokens at always affordable prices.

BRI’s Director of Information Technology Saladin Dharma Nugraha Effendi emphasised that BRI’s extensive network infrastructure is the main foundation for the success of this service. With more than 19,000 ATMs and CRMs spread across Indonesia, the public can still cash out GoPay balances practically, safely, and without obstacles, even in locations far from city centres.

“Through the concept of an open and integrated network, BRI strengthens the national digital financial ecosystem,” he said.

He added that this infrastructure support makes it easier for the public, including mudik travellers, to have access to cash needs during Eid in various areas they visit.

In addition, the interoperability system it has supports smooth and secure transactions, including integration into other banks’ ATM networks that are part of the Link network. With this interconnected system, cash withdrawal transactions via the GoPay app become easier, faster, and more reliable, strengthening the national digital payment ecosystem.

On the other hand, the partnership with bank bjb further strengthens public access to cash needs in areas with high mudik mobility. Based on the 2026 Eid transportation projection, West Java is estimated to be the largest origin of mudik with more than 30 million people, as well as the main route to Central Java and East Java, and vice versa.

Acting President Director of bank bjb, Ayi Subarna, stated that this partnership is part of bank bjb’s commitment to strengthening the digital ecosystem while presenting more inclusive transaction solutions for the Indonesian people. With a widespread ATM network, this service can provide added value for GoPay users as well as bank bjb customers.

Jalin Director Eko Dedi Rukminto stated that they are endeavouring to maintain system inter connectivity to run optimally, so that every GoPay cash withdrawal transaction at BRI and bank bjb ATMs can be carried out safely and without obstacles.

“In the future, this integration also opens opportunities for expansion of services to ATM networks of other banks that are part of the other Link networks.

“So that it makes it easier for the public to withdraw cash balances via the GoPay app anywhere,” Eko concluded.
