Golkar scholarship

I am one of 10 high achieving students from Kuningan, West
Java, who received the attention of Golkar's regional board. I
was invited to attend Golkar's anniversary party at the Pajajaran
building in Bandung, on which occasion the scholarships for West
Java were awarded.

I was very happy to receive the scholarship because my parents
are not able to finance my further studies. They cried when they
heard the news.

I attended the anniversary celebration in Bandung. However,
there was no information on the amount and duration of the
scholarship. Some people said the scholarship would be given in
my home town of Kuningan.

Back home after a few days I went to the regional Golkar
office and received Rp 100,000. Strangely the scholarship was a
one-time payment.

I suggest that next time Golkar have such a program they
should avoid using the term "scholarship" and should not give
recipients high hopes of furthering their studies. A more
suitable word would be "pocket money".
