Golf tourney gets fans
JAKARTA (JP): The Alfred Dunhill Masters golf tournament, slated for Nov. 3 to 6 in Nusa Dua, Bali, registered its first spectators. Thirty members from the Enteos executive club, which includes bankers, industrialists and chief executive officers, have paid US$895 apiece to watch the tourney.
England's Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie, world number three and eight respectively, David Frost from South Africa and Vijay Singh from Fiji are scheduled to enter the tournament with US$395,000 in total prize money.
The Indonesian Golf Association expects its Indonesian golfers, after coming home empty-handed from the recently concluded Asian Games in Hiroshima, Japan, to join the annual event, Antara reported. (arf)
