Referring to a letter of PT Golden Truly's manager, M.
Murdoko, published in Kompas on June 6, 1997, under the heading:
Golden Truly responds, replying to Mrs. S. Barkah's complaint
about rats in the supermarket, we would like to explain that CV
Star Group, a pest control company, has, indeed, a yearly
contract with the Golden Truly supermarket chain. However,
monthly control is only applied in Golden Truly on Gunung Sahari.

Other Golden Truly outlets (including the one on Palatehan,
Block M) are treated three to four times a year as indicated in
the work agreement.

Large supermarkets like Golden Truly, where food is stored and
merchandise piled up one on top of the other, are extremely
vulnerable to rapid growing rat colonies.

To discourage pests reproducing, it would be advisable to
increase the frequency of "rodent control" in seriously rat-
infested places with monthly treatments lasting seven to eight
days at least.
