Gojek and Grab to Award Raya Bonus 2026 to Ojol Drivers
Two Indonesian online transport firms, Gojek and Grab, will provide Raya Bonus (BHR) 2026 to hundreds of thousands of their ojol driver partners in the near future. BHR differs from the Government-mandated Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR) for formal sector workers. The scheme aligns with the gig economy model of flexible partnerships. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the BHR 2026 programme is in line with directives from President Prabowo Subianto, as previously conveyed through cross-ministerial coordination. ‘By 2026, BHR will reach around 850,000 driver partners, with a total allocation of Rp 220 billion,’ Airlangga added. The BHR amounts offered by Gojek and Grab themselves vary, with the top figure reaching Rp 1.6 million, depending on productivity levels and partner category. Parent company of Gojek, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo), has raised its BHR 2026 budget to around Rp 100-110 billion, more than double last year’s around Rp 50 billion. This year, approximately 400,000 GoTo two-wheeler and four-wheeler driver partners will receive the BHR. The BHR nominal details from GoTo are as follows: For the lowest category, the BHR amounts rose three to four times compared with last year, from Rp 50,000 to Rp 150,000 (two-wheelers) and Rp 200,000 (four-wheelers). The allocation and recipients of BHR 2026 for each partner are determined based on criteria including: the recipient category will be divided into Mitra Juara (Champion Partner), Mitra Andalan (Leading Partner), and Mitra Harapan (Promising Partner), with subcategories based on performance consistency over the last 12 months. ‘Through BHR, we want to recognise the contributions of driver partners over the past year in maintaining high service standards for customers, while ensuring the company’s long-term sustainability,’ said GoTo’s Chief Executive Officer Hans Patuwo on the official GoTo blog.
