GoFood-Kemnaker collaboration drives Bandung SMEs to next level
Jakarta - GoFood, the food delivery service of Gojek which is a business unit of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk, has introduced the Maju Bersama GoFood (Advance Together with GoFood) initiative in Bandung, West Java.
The programme is designed to accelerate the digitalisation of hundreds of culinary micro and small enterprises through simplified online registration and business training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour of the Republic of Indonesia and the West Java Regional Office of Cooperatives and Small Business Development.
“In line with our mission to simplify the lives of the community, we are introducing our innovation ‘Register with GoFood in Just 5 Minutes’ as a practical solution for culinary SME operators in the regions, particularly in Bandung and West Java, to make their business digitalisation process faster and easier,” said Dani Oktobianto, Vice President of Sales at Gojek, in a statement on Monday.
He explained that business owners simply needed to download the GoFood Merchant application, enter their identity card data and account number, and they could immediately begin selling online.
Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) at the end of 2024, of the total 4.85 million food and beverage businesses in Indonesia, only 33.13 per cent utilise the internet for promotion, online sales, and payment transactions.
This situation shows there is still considerable room for improving technology adoption in the culinary sector.
Partners also gain access to promotional settings and simple analytics features to help increase visibility and sales performance.
GoFood also presents the GoFood Partner Community (KOMPAG) and the GoFood Learning Corner programme, which are already available in dozens of cities, including in West Java, as a forum for business management and digital marketing training.
“We appreciate the Maju Bersama GoFood initiative, which is in line with the strategic role of the vocational sector in improving the competence and productivity of SMEs. This programme demonstrates effective cross-sector collaboration, where the private sector serves as an enabler through accessible training and technology access,” said Darmawansyah.
“With rapid registration and relevant materials, this initiative accelerates skills upgrading among culinary business operators, expands SME participation in the digital economy, and encourages the creation of sustainable employment opportunities,” he added.
“We welcome the Maju Bersama GoFood initiative as it aligns with our efforts to help SMEs move up the value chain through the use of technology. Digitalisation opens up wider market opportunities for culinary business operators in West Java, whilst strengthening the economic resilience of the region”.
Attended by hundreds of culinary SME operators, the Maju Bersama GoFood event in Bandung also featured an inspirational session with GoFood Business Partners and various Learning Zones, including the GoFood Registration Zone, the GoFood Partner Community Zone (KOMPAG), and the GoFood Education Zone.
The activity serves as a collaboration space for business operators to share experiences, broaden their horizons, and strengthen networks among culinary SMEs in West Java.
