Girl dies in hotel pool

TEGAL, Central Java: A fifteen-year-old girl was found dead in
a hotel swimming pool here on Tuesday.

Diana, a resident of Semarang, was staying alone at the Bahari
Inn, Antara reported. No information about the cause of her death
was available.

Hotel manager Septawi said his employees found Diana's half-
naked body in the pool. Believing she was only unconscious, they
tried to revive her by giving her oxygen but were unsuccessful.

They then brought her to the Harapan Kita Moslem hospital,
where they were told that she was already dead on arrival.

Her family has since taken her body home.

The agency reported that before her death, Diana and her
family were en route from Semarang to Bandung, East Java.

In Tegal, she complained of fatigue and asked that she be
allowed to stop there and stay at the hotel. (swe)
