Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Regional Hospital (RSD) in Bandarlampung City, Lampung, on Friday, as part of efforts to strengthen the regional health system to provide faster, more affordable, and integrated healthcare services for the community.

Upon arrival at the site, the Vice President first inspected the ongoing hospital building expansion project.

Afterwards, Gibran toured various healthcare service facilities, from the emergency installation (IGD), outpatient polyclinics to inpatient rooms.

During the inspection, Gibran took the time to greet patients and healthcare workers on duty. One of them was Ida, a resident waiting in line for a check-up for high blood pressure.

“Take care of your health, take your medicine regularly,” the Vice President advised Ida.

Ida expressed satisfaction with the services provided by RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo. She also welcomed the new building construction, which she believes will enhance comfort and service quality for the community.

“The facilities are already good. Alhamdulillah, the service is satisfactory,” she said.

She was also moved to meet the Vice President directly and hopes the government continues to pay attention to improving public healthcare services.

“Keep up the enthusiasm, Mr Gibran, as a Vice President who is close and embraces the people,” she added.

As a referral hospital owned by the Bandarlampung City Government, RSD Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo currently serves referrals from 31 main community health centres and 50 auxiliary community health centres in Bandarlampung City.

Therefore, the government continues to encourage strengthening the capacity of regional hospitals through improvements in facilities and infrastructure, specialist services, and the quality of healthcare human resources.

These steps are expected to strengthen the connectivity of healthcare services between community health centres and hospitals, while providing faster, more equitable, and quality healthcare access for the community.
