Jakarta (ANTARA) — Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has stated that the Vice President’s Office is opening a complaints service to help resolve various public issues, including problems with diploma redemption and inability to pay school tuition fees (SPP).

The Vice President made the remarks whilst greeting congregants after performing Isya and tarawih prayers on the second night of Ramadan 1447 H at Al-Falaah Mosque in Manggarai, Tebet, South Jakarta, on Thursday evening (19 February).

“Citizens usually come to our office to raise any kind of problem — redeeming diplomas, being unable to pay school fees — these can all be resolved at our office in Kebon Sirih,” said Gibran, according to a statement received on Friday.

Gibran noted that members of the public may visit the Vice President’s Office in Kebon Sirih directly on working days, Monday through Friday, to submit their various concerns.

The Vice President cited complaints related to diploma redemption and difficulties paying school tuition fees as examples of issues that can be facilitated towards resolution.

Earlier, the Vice President performed tarawih prayers in congregation with local residents. The worship began with Isya prayers led by Ustadz Zahrul Bayumi, followed by a sermon by Ustadz Rohmat on the importance of mutual forgiveness in community life, as well as tarawih and witir prayers.

During the occasion, the Vice President also conveyed greetings from President Prabowo Subianto, who is currently on duties abroad, whilst inviting the public to pray for the smooth conduct of the Head of State’s assignments.

“Warm regards to you all from President Prabowo. He is currently on duty overseas. Let us pray that he remains healthy, enjoys a long life, and is granted ease in carrying out his duties,” he said.

Gibran explained that he deliberately chose a mosque situated in a densely populated residential area in order to foster community ties whilst directly absorbing residents’ aspirations.

He acknowledged receiving information from local neighbourhood administrators regarding issues frequently raised during the Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) and committed to studying and seeking solutions for them.

“We will explore this first, Pak RW, and we will try to find a solution,” he affirmed.

At the conclusion of the event, the Vice President expressed his appreciation for the community’s warm welcome and prayed that residents’ Ramadan worship would proceed smoothly and that they would be blessed with good health.
