Get Ready! 10 Jobs at Risk of Disappearing in Four Years
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The World Economic Forum notes that there will be major changes in the world of work. In the coming years, according to its records, a number of professions are predicted to shrink or even disappear, in line with the rapid adoption of digital technology and automation across various sectors.
Jobs that have long been considered common and stable are beginning to be displaced. Administrative roles, manual services, and repetitive tasks are the most vulnerable because they can be replaced by digital systems or artificial intelligence.
For workers, this situation serves as a strong signal to start adapting. Without skill enhancement, the risk of falling behind industry needs will grow significantly in the near future.
The report notes that by 2030, 39% of core worker skills are estimated to change. There is growth in digital access as a transformative macro trend, projected to create 19 million new jobs by 2030 while displacing 9 million jobs.
AI and data processing alone will generate 11 million roles but displace 9 million roles, making technological adaptation extremely important. Even creative fields, such as graphic design, will face disruption due to generative AI.
Here are 10 jobs that have the potential to disappear (due to low demand), according to Gulf News, Saturday (2/5/2026):
