Germany offers scholarship
JAKARTA (JP): The Federal Republic of Germany has announced
the Scholarship Program 1996 which will offer 55 scholarships to
Indonesian nationals working in the public or private sector.
The target-group is primarily focused on junior executives and
trainers.
The embassy said yesterday that the program comprises more
than 40 long-term training courses in Germany covering a variety
of subjects for industry and business, vocational education,
environment protection and natural resources management as well
as agriculture and forestry.
The practice-oriented training programs are intended to
provide additional qualifications for professionals disposing of
a completed vocational training and several years of professional
experience.

contact the German Embassy, Section of Economic Cooperation and
Development, for further information.
The scholarship program is part of Indonesian-German Economic
Cooperation Program. In the past five years more than 40
Indonesian professionals took part in this program. (sur)
