Germany Firmly Rejects Zionist-US Call to War on Iran
Berlin — Germany has made clear it will not join in a war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, a conflict initiated by Zionist Israel and the United States. While a NATO member alongside the United States, the German Defence Forces will not participate in a war that has so far inflamed the Middle East. Germany’s Defence Minister, Boris Pistorius, said Germany only seeks to remain in a position to de-escalate the situation. ‘Germany will not join in a war against Iran (started by Israel and the US),’ Pistorius told Anadolu Agency on Wednesday (4 March 2026). ‘And Germany will only strive to ease tensions,’ he added. Germany is not the first European NATO country to reject the Zionist-US provocation to attack Iran. Previously, the United Kingdom also firmly rejected the invitation to join the war. Even Spain, more assertive, not only refused to join the US-Israel, but also banned US bases and territories in Spain from being used as launch sites for attacks on Iran. Spain’s hard stance prompted threats of sanctions from the US. President Donald Trump yesterday voiced his anger toward Spain, threatening to cut trade ties with the Matador Nation. Meanwhile, the war in the Middle East region continues. The conflict began with a missile and rocket strike by Zionist-US against Iran on Saturday (28 February 2026). The strike killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with his wife, son-in-law, and grandchild. Several senior Iranian military officers were also killed in the initial attack. The Islamic Republic of Iran withstood the assault and mounted a resistance that has taken a toll on both aggressor states. Iran retaliated by sending missiles and attack drones into Israeli-occupied territory and at U.S. bases in several Gulf states. U.S. bases in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and also in Saudi Arabia were reported to be seriously affected by Iran’s counter-strikes. Recently, those Arab states have voiced anger as their territories were targeted by Iran.
