Jakarta - Member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Himmatul Aliyah, greeted residents during a free medical treatment and humanitarian services event organised by the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Gerindra Party in the Ragunan area. This event was held to mark the 18th anniversary of the Gerindra Party, combined with various social initiatives. Himmatul views the age of 18 as a milestone of maturity for the party to expand its services to the community, including through free medical treatment involving doctors and medical volunteers. During the event, she introduced the medical team, consisting of Dr Asri, Dr Hairul, and Dr April, under the leadership of Misrayanti as head of the health services. “Thank you to all the residents, especially those around Ragunan, and particularly to the local community leaders such as the neighbourhood heads (RW) and sub-neighbourhood heads (RT). Thank you for your support to us at the Gerindra Party, which continues to strive alongside the community to improve people’s welfare,” she stated in a written release on Sunday (15 February 2026).

She also praised the role of the Head of Humanitarian Services for the Gerindra Party, Misrayanti SE, MH, who leads the health services to reach various regions in Indonesia. In addition to health services, the event included outreach on cooperatives through the Garudayakasa Nusantara Cooperative (KGN), driven by Jasmin Setiawan. Residents were encouraged to utilise various cooperative products, ranging from savings and loans, education savings, Hajj savings, to festive needs packages. “There are many benefits if we join a cooperative. There are various types, such as savings and loan cooperatives, festive package cooperatives, buying and selling, and others. Oh, there are also education savings and Hajj savings for those who want to perform the pilgrimage,” she explained.

Meanwhile, in the education sector, Himmatul explained the opening of a registration post for the Smart Indonesia Programme (PIP) for Ragunan residents, for both new registrations and extensions of beneficiaries. She noted the increase in the PIP assistance amount in line with the 13-year compulsory education policy. Furthermore, Himmatul highlighted education opportunities through the Garuda Excellence High School, which provides scholarships up to overseas for high-achieving students from underprivileged families. She also pointed out the impact of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme, which creates a ripple effect for farmers, egg producers, and manufacturers of milk and chillies by providing a market for their produce. “The Free Nutritious Meals Programme has quietly absorbed 1.2 million jobs. Just one kitchen requires at least 20 people. Now, there are already 60,000 public kitchens across Indonesia, set to increase to 80,000. That alone has absorbed 1.2 million jobs,” she said.

Concluding her remarks, she invited residents to take advantage of all available programmes, from PIP and the Indonesia Smart Card for Higher Education (KIP Kuliah) to cooperative and health services. The event then proceeded with the cutting of a rice cone and the distribution of aid to orphans. “Please make the most of this opportunity. Do not waste it,” she concluded.
