Geely Delivers 1,000 Locally Assembled EV Units to Indonesian Consumers
Jakarta (ANTARA) — Geely Auto Indonesia has commenced the first phase of deliveries of 1,000 units of the Geely EX2 electric vehicle to consumers across Indonesia.
Though newly launched in the Indonesian market in late January, the vehicles being delivered to consumers have been assembled locally, in line with the company’s commitment to supporting the development of Indonesia’s national automotive industry.
Constantinus Herlijoso, Director of Sales Development and Distribution Channels at Geely Auto Indonesia, stated that the Geely EX2 has received over 5,000 pre-orders since the pre-order period began.
Deliveries will be made in phases to consumers, with an estimated waiting time extending to next month.
“The number of pre-orders continues to grow, and we are seeing consumer enthusiasm supported by the value for money offered by the Geely EX2 as a compact EV for daily use,” he said in an official statement.
As part of customer service, particularly in the run-up to the 2026 Lebaran exodus, Geely is offering free comprehensive check-up services for customers throughout March. The inspection scope covers the exterior, engine compartment, driver’s cabin, and underbody area, including the electrical system.
Indonesia is one of Geely’s key markets in Southeast Asia. Accordingly, the company plans to expand its presence by doubling its dealership network in Indonesia this year to reach a target of 80 outlets across various cities. Geely also plans to introduce more vehicle models across various product lines.
Since its debut in Indonesia in early last year, Geely has had three vehicle lines in the Indonesian market, namely two pure electric vehicles and one hybrid model.
