Fugitive Ko Erwin Arrives at Police Crime Directorate, Seated in Wheelchair
JAKARTA — Erwin Iskandar, alias Ko Erwin, a fugitive in a narcotics case linked to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, arrived at the Indonesian National Police Crime Directorate (Bareskrim Polri) building in Jakarta on Friday 27 February 2026.
Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of the Narcotics Crime Division at Bareskrim Polri, confirmed that Ko Erwin had arrived at the facility. “Yes,” Eko said when contacted by Kompas.com via short message on Friday afternoon.
Eko stated that Erwin was pursued and apprehended by the Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) at Bareskrim Polri. He descended from the rear door of a vehicle and was immediately escorted by several officers.
Ko Erwin appeared to walk unsteadily before being placed in a wheelchair. He was wearing the same clothing as when he was apprehended. When media personnel posed questions, Ko Erwin did not speak a single word. He was then pushed in the wheelchair towards a lift to be transported to an interrogation room at the Bareskrim Polri building.
Previously, the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri confirmed the arrest of Erwin, who had been placed on the wanted persons list (DPO). “It is true that fugitive Erwin has been apprehended by the Joint Team of Sub-Directorate IV and the NIC Task Force of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri. Further details will be provided during a press conference,” Eko said.
Erwin is an alleged narcotics trafficker who is suspected of transferring 2.8 billion rupiah to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro. According to information provided, when apprehended, Erwin was aboard a vessel and was allegedly attempting to flee to Malaysia.
