Bekasi – A petrol station (SPBU 34.17604) located in RT 001/002, Kebalen Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency, became the target of a robbery on Tuesday (10 March 2026) at approximately 03:00 WIB.

A gang of perpetrators broke into the safe storing money from fuel sales valued at hundreds of millions of rupiah. Not only that, the robbers incapacitated several employees through assault and kidnapping.

Metro Bekasi Police Chief Kombes Pol Sumarni stated that the incident was reported by the public through the Polri 110 Call Centre at 03:20 WIB.

Initially, the perpetrators entered the petrol station employee quarters. After successfully gaining entry, they proceeded to a room where several SPBU employees were resting.

During the incident, five SPBU employees became victims of violence as the gang attempted to break into the safe. One victim, identified as M (62), attempted to resist but was attacked, suffering a wound on his left hand. He was also bound with adhesive tape.

Another victim, B (49), was kicked and beaten by the perpetrators.

“The other victims, namely A (24), M (44), and H (53), had their heads covered with blankets and were bound using cable, tape, and raffia rope,” said Sumarni.

After rendering the victims helpless, the perpetrators proceeded to the cash storage safe in the petrol station area and damaged it.

Sumarni stated that officers who arrived at the location immediately conducted crime scene analysis and discovered several pieces of evidence.

“There is one iron safe that has been damaged, a toy pistol, black tape, cable, and a ladder that was allegedly used by the perpetrators to enter through the rear of the petrol station area,” said Sumarni.

As a result of the incident, the petrol station’s sales revenue, estimated at hundreds of millions of rupiah, was stolen.

“The estimate is approximately 100 to 130 million rupiah that was taken. This is money from sales that was in the safe. There was nothing else,” said Babelan Police Sector Chief Kompol Wito.
