From Dirjen Strahan, Lieutenant General Agus Widodo Promoted to Deputy Head of BIN

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Major General Agus Widodo, the Director General of Defence Strategy at the Ministry of Defence, has recently received a promotion in the latest TNI reshuffle. He will now occupy the position of Deputy Head of the State Intelligence Agency (Waka BIN). Lieutenant General Agus Widodo was already wearing his three-star rank when welcoming the arrival of Japanese Defence Minister Shinjiro Koizumi at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang City, Banten, on Sunday (3/5/2026). And when joining in welcoming Koizumi at the Ministry of Defence grounds in Central Jakarta on Monday (4/5/2026), observations by Republika showed that this 1995 Military Academy graduate was also wearing his three-star rank. Republika confirmed the position of Dirjen Strahan at the Ministry of Defence with the Head of the Defence Information Bureau of the Ministry of Defence’s Secretariat General, Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait.
