Freshly Dismissed Former Bima Police Chief AKBP Didik Immediately Sent to Bareskrim Detention
Jakarta — The fate of former Bima City police chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner (AKBP) Didik Putra Kuncoro has taken a further downward turn. Following his official dismissal through an ethics hearing, Didik was immediately placed in the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) detention facility on Thursday, 19 February 2026.
The detention was carried out by Bareskrim’s Directorate of Narcotics Crime (Dittipid Narkoba) on the same day as the ruling for his Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH).
“Starting Thursday, 19 February 2026, AKBP DPK was detained by the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate,” said the Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, as quoted on Friday, 20 February 2026.
Didik was named a suspect after being found guilty of possessing a white suitcase containing narcotics that had been entrusted to the residence of Aipda Dianita in Tangerang, Banten.
From the suitcase, police seized 16.3 grammes of methamphetamine, 49 ecstasy tablets and 2 partially used tablets (23.5 grammes), 19 Alprazolam tablets, 2 Happy Five tablets, and 5 grammes of ketamine. Beyond this, Didik has also been named a suspect by the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) provincial police for receiving Rp2.8 billion in proceeds from narcotics crimes.
The Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) panel officially imposed the sanction of Dishonourable Discharge (PTDH), or dismissal from the Indonesian National Police, against the former Bima City police chief.
The ruling was handed down during an ethics hearing held at National Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday, 19 February 2026. The panel was chaired by the Deputy Inspector General of the National Police, Inspector General Merdisyam, taking into account the examination of 18 witnesses.
“Dishonourable discharge, or PTDH, as a member of the Indonesian National Police,” said the Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko.
In addition to dismissal, Didik had previously been subjected to an administrative sanction of placement in a special facility for seven days, which he has already served.
“Upon the ruling, the offender stated before the chairman and commission members that he accepted the decision,” Trunoyudo said.
