Free Nutritious Food Programme in Sukabumi City Experiences Dynamics, Task Force Opens Complaint Service for Residents
The distribution of the free nutritious food programme (MBG) in Sukabumi City, West Java, frequently experiences operational challenges. This includes complaints during Ramadan distribution when many residents have deemed the meals unsuitable for consumption due to inadequate nutritional content.
The local MBG Task Force has responded to these dynamics by launching an online complaint service. The Head of the MBG Task Force in Sukabumi City, Andri Setiawan, has invited residents to submit complaints through his personal social media account @andrisetiawan12_.
According to Setiawan, complaints submitted via his Instagram and TikTok accounts will be collected and followed up. “Since I am active on social media, if anyone has complaints about MBG, please send me a direct message on my personal account or via WhatsApp. All complaints will be followed up,” stated the Economic Development and Finance Adviser to the Mayor on Monday, 2 March.
For residents wishing to lodge complaints directly with the central government, Setiawan indicated they can contact the Indonesian Nutrition Complaint Centre Call Service at telephone number 127. Such complaints are typically coordinated with relevant elements in the respective regions according to the complainant’s residential address.
“In Sukabumi City, for example, complaints would likely be directed for coordination with the Task Force, Regional Coordinator, or District Coordinator in the area,” he explained.
Setiawan stated that to date, the MBG Task Force in Sukabumi City has been carrying out its duties in accordance with directions from the National Nutrition Agency. During Ramadan, routine monitoring of MBG menu distribution to schools continues.
“Our agenda during Ramadan remains focused on supervising the distribution of MBG menus. We visit every school from kindergarten to senior secondary school,” he concluded.
