PT Pertamina (Persero), working alongside the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Board (BP BUMN), has contributed to the implementation of the 2026 Free Homecoming Journey Programme, held on 17 March 2026.

At the free state-owned enterprise homecoming event in 2026, Infrastructure and Regional Development Coordination Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono expressed the government’s gratitude and appreciation to state-owned enterprises for organising the free homecoming programme, which will reduce travel using private vehicles.

“This is a collective endeavour. The President has conveyed that if we can provide the best service to the public, it certainly demonstrates that the state and government are present for them,” said Agus Harimurti.

On the same occasion, BP BUMN Head Dony Oskaria stated that the Free Homecoming Journey Programme represents state-owned enterprises’ genuine commitment to serving the community and delivering direct benefits, particularly during significant moments such as Eid al-Fitr. Through this programme, the state, via its enterprises, assists the public in undertaking homecoming journeys that are safer and more comfortable.

“The Free Homecoming Journey Programme embodies mutual cooperation and state-owned enterprises’ concern for the community. We want to ensure that the public can undertake their homecoming journeys in a safer, more comfortable, and secure manner, whilst helping to reduce traffic congestion during the Eid period,” said Dony.

Dony added that the year-on-year increase in participants demonstrates the high level of public trust and enthusiasm for the programme. According to him, besides helping the community undertake homecoming journeys without bearing transportation costs, the programme is also expected to help reduce traffic congestion and improve travel safety during the Eid homecoming period.

“We hope that all participants can reach their hometowns safely and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families in a secure and comfortable manner,” he said.

As part of the state-owned enterprise sector, Pertamina’s participation in the government-organised homecoming programme represents the company’s commitment to supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable public mobility.

Pertamina’s Corporate Secretary, Arya Dwi Paramita, stated that the programme also forms part of Pertamina’s support for the government’s efforts to promote orderly homecoming journeys that are also more energy-efficient and help reduce traffic congestion during the Eid homecoming period.

“Pertamina is actively participating in three homecoming programmes: Mudik Bareng Pertamina (Homecoming Together with Pertamina), which is independently managed by the company, and two government-coordinated homecoming programmes, namely the Energy Sector Homecoming Programme and the Free Homecoming Journey for State-Owned Enterprises. Overall, Pertamina has prepared 167 buses to support the smooth journey of the public to over 25 destination cities,” said Arya.

Pertamina’s Homecoming Together 2026 was held on 15 March 2026 at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta. Meanwhile, participation in the Energy Sector Homecoming Programme and the Free State-Owned Enterprise Homecoming Journey took place on 17 March 2026 in Jakarta.

According to Arya, the homecoming programme promotes the use of more efficient and environmentally friendly collective transport. “Through travelling together, fuel consumption can be reduced, resulting in greater energy efficiency whilst contributing to the reduction of exhaust emissions. This aligns with Pertamina’s commitment to supporting low-carbon mobility and is consistent with the government’s efforts towards a clean energy transition in Indonesia,” said Arya.

Arya added that collaboration with various parties, including the Ministry of ESDM, BP BUMN, and support from other state-owned enterprises, is key to the programme’s success.

“We hope that all homecoming travellers can reach their hometowns safely, celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families, and return in good health and with great joy,” said Arya.

Through its support of the 2026 Free Homecoming Journey Programme, Pertamina reaffirms its commitment to supporting the smooth flow of the national homecoming movement whilst promoting more efficient and environmentally friendly energy use during the Eid period.
