Frankly Speaking! KPK Reveals Individuals Claiming to Handle Customs Case in Semarang
Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that there are parties claiming to be able to manage the handling of a suspected bribery case for importing goods and gratification within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that these parties are currently located in Semarang.
“This time, we have received information again about parties claiming to be able to arrange and manage the investigation case at the KPK, particularly in this Customs and Excise case, regarding the management of goods importation or matters related to customs handling,” Budi told reporters at the KPK’s Red White Building on Tuesday, 5 May 2026.
“We obtained this information in the area around Semarang,” he added.
The KPK then urged related parties or witnesses in this case to be cautious. He emphasised that the case handling is conducted by the KPK in a professional and transparent manner.
“Therefore, we assure that all processes carried out by the KPK are done professionally, including the determination of parties as suspects,” Budi concluded.
Previously, on 4 February 2026, the KPK confirmed conducting a sting operation (OTT) within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance.
On the same date, the KPK revealed that one of the individuals arrested in the OTT was Rizal, Head of the West Sumatra Regional Customs and Excise Office.
On 5 February 2026, the KPK announced that six out of 17 people arrested were designated as suspects in the alleged bribery and gratification case related to the importation of counterfeit goods within the DJBC.
They are Rizal (RZL) as Director of Enforcement and Investigation of DJBC from 2024 to January 2026, Head of Subdirectorate of Enforcement and Investigation Intelligence of DJBC Sisprian Subiaksono (SIS), and Head of DJBC Intelligence Section Orlando Hamonangan (ORL).
Additionally, John Field (JF), owner of Blueray Cargo, Andri (AND), Chairman of the Import Documentation Team of Blueray Cargo, and Dedy Kurniawan (DK), Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo.
Most recently, the KPK arrested an employee of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP). He was arrested in connection with an alleged bribery case for importing goods at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise.
Budiman was arrested at the Central Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in East Jakarta. “BBP was arrested at the Central Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in the Jakarta area,” Budi told reporters on Thursday, 26 February 2026.
