Four Jambi Police Members Dismissed, Irjen Krisno: Use This Incident as a Reflection
Four personnel proven to have violated the Indonesian National Police’s Professional Code of Ethics underwent a Dishonourable Dismissal Ceremony (PTDH) or were dismissed at the Black Field of the Polda Jambi headquarters. The ceremony was led directly by the Jambi Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Krisno H. Siregar, and attended by the Deputy Jambi Police Chief, Brigadier General of Police B. Ali, the Head of the Jambi Ombudsman, the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) RI, the Internal Affairs Inspectorate of Polda Jambi, the main officials of Polda Jambi, and Polda Jambi personnel. During the ceremony proceedings, the Jambi Police Chief’s decision was read, followed by the removal of the Indonesian National Police service uniforms and the placement of an X mark on the photographs of the dismissed personnel. Two of them were carried out in absentia. The four personnel subjected to PTDH were Brigpol Derry Adriansyah, Briptu Yosva Rengga, Bripda Samson Pardamean, and Bripda Nabil Ijlal Fadlul. In his address, the Jambi Police Chief stressed that the PTDH ceremony represents the Indonesian National Police leadership’s firm commitment to enforcing discipline and the code of ethics within the police environment. “Today’s PTDH ceremony is a manifestation of the Indonesian National Police leadership’s commitment to every violation of the Professional Code of Ethics of the Indonesian National Police,” stated Krisno on Friday, 24 April 2026. The Police Chief also emphasised that dishonourable dismissal is a consequence that must be accepted by every member who violates the rules. This dismissal is a consequence of the violations committed. All personnel must uphold high professionalism in their implementation. The Police Chief asked the entire ranks to use this incident as material for introspection and learning. “Use this incident as a reflection for us all, especially the members of Polda Jambi, so that they always carry out their duties well, with full responsibility, and in accordance with the applicable rules,” he said. The implementation of this PTDH is a concrete form of Polda Jambi’s commitment to maintaining the dignity of the Indonesian National Police institution. The Jambi Police Chief affirmed that there is no tolerance for any violations that tarnish the honour of the Indonesian National Police institution. The enforcement of the code of ethics will continue to be carried out firmly, professionally, and transparently. This step is expected to serve as a stern warning as well as a lesson for all members. “It is hoped that all Polda Jambi personnel can take lessons from this incident and further enhance discipline, integrity, and professionalism in carrying out their duties as protectors, nurturers, and servants of the community,” stated Irjen Krisno.
