Four Civil Servants in Lembata Dismissed, Six More Embroiled in Allegations of Adultery
The Civil Service Agency (BKPSDM) of Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has processed twelve cases of civil servant disciplinary violations up to February 2026. Of these, four civil servants have been dismissed for failing to comply with attendance regulations.
“For 2026, four have been honourably discharged at their own request,” said the Head of the Lembata Regency BKPSDM, Said Kopong, on Thursday (26/2/2026).
Said revealed that currently, eight civil servants are being processed for alleged disciplinary violations. Most of them are accused of adultery.
“Five to six (cases of adultery). The adultery cases are being handled and the final decision on disciplinary sanctions has not yet been made,” he said.
Said detailed that the four civil servants who have been dismissed come from three different agencies: the Health Office, the Lewoleba Regional General Hospital, and the Education Office.
“Two (civil servants) are from the Health Office, one from the Regional General Hospital, and one from the Education Office,” he explained.
Said reminded all civil servants that they are bound by government regulations and must comply with them. Therefore, those who are undisciplined must be prepared to accept the applicable sanctions.
“As civil servants, we must comply with obligations and prohibitions and maintain integrity as providers and implementers of government affairs in the region,” he concluded.
