Former Supreme Court Secretary Nurhadi to Face Verdict on Wednesday, 1 April
Jakarta - Former Supreme Court (MA) Secretary Nurhadi will face the verdict reading session for the alleged gratification and money laundering (TPPU) case on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
“The verdict, God willing, will be opened in the trial on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, with the verdict agenda,” said the Chief Judge of the Panel, Fajar Kusuma Aji, during the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Friday (27/3/2026).
Nurhadi stated that the fund flows from his son-in-law Rezky Herbiyono’s accounts were actions unrelated to him.
Through his legal counsel, Nurhadi requested that the panel of judges impose a free or acquitted verdict in the case ensnaring him.
“(Requesting the panel of judges to impose a verdict) acquitting Nurhadi from all charges,” said one of the lawyers while reading the duplicate in the trial, Friday.
Meanwhile, in the trial on Thursday (26/3/2026), the Public Prosecutor (JPU) demanded that Nurhadi still be sentenced according to the indictment, namely seven years in prison and a fine of Rp 500 million subsidiary 140 days imprisonment.
In this case, prosecutors alleged that Nurhadi received gratification of Rp 137.1 billion from several parties involved in court cases, both at the first instance, appeal, cassation, up to judicial review levels.
The funds were allegedly used to purchase assets, such as land, buildings, and vehicles. For his actions, Nurhadi is charged with gratification and TPPU articles.
Previously, in 2021, Nurhadi was sentenced to six years in prison in a bribery and gratification case related to case handling at the Supreme Court.
